How to find a MAC address.

  • iPhone/iPad (iOS):

    • Go to "Settings."

    • Tap on "Wi-Fi."

    • Tap the "i" icon next to the network you're connected to.

    • Find the "Private Address" option. If it's enabled, your device is using a private MAC address.

  • Android:

    • Go to "Settings."

    • Tap on "Wi-Fi."

    • Tap on the network you're connected to.

    • Look for an option like "Use randomized MAC." If it's enabled, your device is using a private MAC address.

  • Windows:

    • Go to the Start menu.

    • Type "cmd" and hit Enter to open Command Prompt.

    • In Command Prompt, type "netsh wlan show interfaces" and hit Enter.

    • Look for the "Physical Address" under the section corresponding to your wireless adapter. This is your private MAC address.

  • Mac:

    • Click on the Apple menu and select "System Preferences."

    • Click on "Network."

    • Select your WiFi connection from the left sidebar.

    • Click on the "Advanced" button.

    • Go to the "Hardware" tab. You'll find your private MAC address listed here.

  • Smart TV (Generic):

    • Access Settings or Menu:

      • Using your TV remote, navigate to the Settings or Menu option on your Smart TV. This option is typically represented by a gear icon or three horizontal lines.

    • Navigate to Network Settings:

      • Within the Settings or Menu, look for an option related to network settings. This might be labelled as "Network," "Network Setup," "Internet," or similar.

    • View Network Information:

      • Once you're in the network settings, you should see information about your network connection. Look for an option like "Network Status," "View Connection Details," or "Connection Information."

    • Locate the MAC Address:

      • In the network information section, you should find details about your network connection, including the WiFi MAC address (also known as the Wireless MAC address or Physical Address). The MAC address may be labelled as "MAC Address," "Ethernet MAC," or "Wireless MAC."

      • Take note of the MAC address displayed on the screen. It typically consists of six pairs of alphanumeric characters, separated by colons or hyphens (e.g., 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E).

    • Exit Settings:

      • After noting down the MAC address, you can exit the settings menu by pressing the appropriate button on your remote or selecting "Close," "Exit," or similar options until you return to the main menu or home screen.

These instructions should help you find the WiFi MAC address on most devices. However, the exact steps and menu options may vary depending on the brand and model of your Smart TV.
